Mona Marzban
MSc | Laboratory Technician
Mona Marzban is a Research Assistant in Dr. Mads Daugaard's lab at the Vancouver Prostate Centre and EDGE Research. She earned her BSc in Medical Laboratory Sciences from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in 2010, where her thesis focused on Progeria, a rare genetic disorder. She then completed her MSc in Medical Virology from the same institution in 2013, with a thesis on Hepatitis C.
Mona's passion for understanding how viruses interfere with cellular signaling pathways led her to develop a strong interest in immunology and cancer research. She joined the Vancouver Prostate Cancer Research Centre in 2021, where she officially started her research focus on cancer.
Since 2010, Mona has been a member of the Tehran University of Medical Sciences Exceptional Talents. Since 2015, she became a member of Iran's National Elites Foundation. Mona conducts research in cancer research, virology, and immunology.
Mona's dedication to cancer research reflects her commitment to leveraging her background in virology to support significant scientific advancements.
