Pegah Sedghi
PhD Student | Researcher
Pegah is a PhD student of UBC in Women and Children’s Health Science (WACH program) under the supervision of Prof. Michael Anglesio.
She has completed her MSc of Biotechnology in Venice, Italy, and lived there for almost 5 years. After graduation, she decided to move to Canada in March 2024.

Her current project is about somatic mutation in endometriosis in mice models, with an emphasis on KRAS mutation and a corollary hypothesis of medicine development. Pegah joined the EDGE Lab because she became familiar with women's health science during her master’s thesis on placental oxidative response in normal and overweight pregnant women. This lab aligns with her research interests and allows her to support women's health.
I am passionate about good music, books and Coffee.
*Come to me with perfect, Italian “caffè Espresso macchiato” and I can solve all the problems 😊
