Lab member Setareh will be participating in the 200 Km ride to raise awareness and money for BC Cancer research. She is a part of Team Royeds on Wheels, named after Dr. Roy Jackson who, as a physician and cancer patient, is known for his infectious enthusiasm and his interest in making a better world. Those who have met Roy understand what it means to be "Royed".....it's a special gift Roy shares that makes us feel motivated, uplifted and enthusiastic about making the world a better place.
Setareh will be biking alongside Dr. Mark Carey, investigator of rare gynecologic cancers, and Bianca Hayes who lost her sister to a rare gynecological cancer. In honour of her sister, and with unparralelled
determination, Bianca set out to cycle across Canada in record time to change the cancer narrative. Her journey is a testimate to the difficult journey cancer patients face in their fight against life-threatening disease.
